Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice on financial management and strategy. This advice covers Finance, Audit, Treasury, Investor Relations, Security, General Procurement and Property. Group Treasury Finance (GT Finance) provides: Essential management accounting, product control support and liquidity reporting for Group Treasury Front Office trading and policy teams including: Asset & Liability Management (ALM), Group Funding & Liquidity, and Capital & Regulatory Strategy desks; Transfer Pricing and Hedge Accounting implementation and management reporting for business units, including Group Treasury; As part of GT Finance , the TP Finance and Liquidity Reporting team is responsible for the: Implementation and management of the Group’s funds transfer pricing process for our internal customers and collaborating with our business partners to implement changes; Financial reporting for the TP Pools; Management reporting of key Liquidity metrics on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis; Your impact will consist of delivering timely, complete, and accurate data for liquidity reporting. This role will consist of ensuring that risk processing has successfully completed and generated results for daily liquidity reporting. Meeting these undertakings requires detailed analysis and interpretation of the Bank’s balance sheet, balance sheet setting, and tools that take into account the changing regulatory and liability landscape. Do work that matters Key responsibilities include: Contribute to the delivery of timely and accurate data to be used for Liquidity Risk reporting, by:Monitoring and maintaining all controls and daily dashboards used to ensure quality reports; Ensuring data is delivered on time; Ensuring all configurations are up to date and accurate; Resolve any production issues in a timely manner; Understanding reporting outcomes and how they impact business decisions. Take accountability for the day-to-day management of the liquidity reporting and analytical activity. Contribute to the development of effective controls and review framework. Collaborate with team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data. Champion further automation and utilize new technologies that deliver productivity benefits. Positively contribute to a curious and engaged team with analytical insights that support decision making. Engage with risk, finance, technology and businesses on reporting and measurement processes. Continually adapt processes to accommodate new products and systems thereby championing productivity improvements and best practice. Support the thought leadership and direction of liquidity and balance sheet management and financial outcomes and promote continuous improvement. Effectively interact with other Treasury stakeholders and business partners to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive reporting and analytical capabilities are supported. Transpose reporting and analytical outcomes into graphical and clearly written summaries to effectively communicate insights for senior management and support the delivery of papers for committees and forums. Contribute to large and complex projects with an emphasis on data, system and treasury management needs. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Higher tertiary education with relevant major such as maths, economics, finance or accounting. Accounting qualifications beneficial but not essential. An understanding of banking products, balance sheet management and treasury/finance systems with experience gained from ideally 1 to 5 years in a Treasury, Risk or Finance role within a commercial banking environment. Strong Excel, VBA, Tableau and SQL literacy with proficiency in macro programming, modelling and database interrogation. Liquidity risk reporting prior experience is preferable. Strong analytical skills, demonstrating independent thought and critical thinking. Preparedness to work in a small team with very tight deadlines.
