The opportunity: As Manager Network Portfolio Optimisation, you will be responsible for leading the development of Powerlink’s investment plans. This includes developing key investment plans for network transformation as Powerlink sets its network up for the future and optimising these plans based on existing network needs. You will ensure these plans are actioned through the network portfolio plan, non-network solutions, and operational plans. You will also be tasked with quantifying network risk and overseeing market engagement processes, including those required under the National Electricity Rules. You will lead a diverse team of professionals in the development of Powerlink’s strategic network investment planning process, ensuring that structured team and project planning is carried out effectively. You will manage scheduling, resourcing, communication, and engagement to align with the broader organisational objectives, gaining cross functional input. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop Powerlink’s long-term integrated Network Investment Outlook, Asset Plans, and identify development opportunities across both regulated and non-regulated lines of business. Your leadership and influence will extend to stakeholder engagement across the organisation, as this role also plays an important role in ensuring the network investment plans are known and supported across the business, in readiness for execution. The people you'll join: Based in Virginia, Brisbane, you will work within the Network and Business Development division, reporting directly into the General Manager Network Portfolio. The Network Portfolio team oversees the development and optimisation of Powerlink's network investment plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The team collaborates across the organisation to create actionable strategies, communicate plans, and support key systems. In an environment where the mix of electricity generation is changing and network load is increasing, this function plays a key role of developing, optimising and then executing these plans. What you'll bring: You will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or have a lesser qualification coupled with significant experience in coordinating asset Planning and Management within the energy and utilities industries. In addition to your planning and optimisation skills, you will have highly developed people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to lead and influence diverse teams to create a culture of empowerment and high-performance. You will also have demonstrated success in optimising strategic asset investment plans, guiding organisations through regulatory frameworks, and effectively engaging stakeholders to deliver complex plans.
