Join our second line Operational Risk Team and play a key role in forming an independent view of Macquarie’s specialist operational risk profiles to effect change in non-financial risk management culture across the organisation. As a Manager, you will provide independent review and challenge across the Retail Bank and their implementation of the Operational Risk Framework. You will review and challenge the scope and outcomes of business risk reporting and key risk indicators, targeted assessments, significant incidents, project and assurance activities to ensure best practice is implemented and opportunities for improvement are identified. In addition, you will provide training and awareness of key risk management policies and contribute to projects that deliver our overall operational risk strategy. What you offer Prior experience in a control function, assurance or internal/external audit role, within a financial or professional services firm. Preferably with operational risk management experience in a line 1 or line 2 capacity in the Banking and Financial Services industry. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask, present new ideas and work both independently and collaboratively. Tenacious and agile, with a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile of the organisation. Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
