Job Description

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.The SCHHS is a values-based organisation. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.Protective Services is a business unit within the Directorate of Operational Support Services (OSS) which includes Food Services, Supply and Logistics, Integrated Operational Services (IOS), and Volunteer and Interpreter Services.Key Responsibilities include: Establish a leadership and management framework that fosters and promotes the principles of quality security services, including leading and representing security services across the facilities within the portfolio. Provide specialist advice in relation to complex security matters to assist in the development of localised operational plans, new initiatives, whilst ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements including but not limited to the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Accreditation Standards and National Protective Security Policy Framework to ensure the continued evolution of an improved security service. Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders by providing sensitive/difficult information and expert advice in relation to security matters. Remuneration: Value up to $138,467 p.a., comprising salary between $111,772 - $121,360 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO8).
