This senior leadership role provides the opportunity to shape and guide the future of Warrnambool’s community services, contributing to the city's wellbeing and cultural vibrancy. The Manager of Recreation & Culture will provide leadership and direction to teams, ensuring the effective delivery of recreation and cultural services aligned with Council's strategic vision. This role involves leading the development and implementation of innovative programs that foster community engagement, inclusivity, and well-being.The successful candidate will motivate and inspire a high-performance, multidisciplinary team, driving a positive, values-based culture. They will oversee service delivery to maintain high standards, manage complex programs and policies, and contribute to the overall corporate management of Warrnambool City Council, with a focus on community development. Additionally, the role requires strong commercial and financial management skills, including overseeing operational programs, budget setting, and financial performance.
