About the Opportunity Our EnergyCo NSW Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team, led by Director GRC (CRO), is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Risk to lead the planning, design, implementation and management of the risk management arrangements at EnergyCo. The role oversees EnergyCo’s Risk Management Framework including project risk management arrangements, maintains divisional (operational) and strategic risk registers, and is responsible for risk reporting to the Board and Audit and Risk Committees. It drives an integrated approach to risk management, ensuring that risk management principles are embedded across the organisation. The Manager Risk will work collaboratively with the EnergyCo Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective and standardised project risk management practices. The Manager Risk, supported by a Risk Analyst, is also responsible for EnergyCo's business continuity and insurance arrangements. About You To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience in strategic, enterprise and project risk management, including both in developing and maintaining risk management frameworks and in managing associated risks. You will have substantial experience in advising management and preparing and interpreting complex reports to promote effective risk management. You will have a good understanding of the breadth of organisational business and project activities, environment and policies of an evolving and dynamic environment where risks are constantly changing. You will have experience in strategically balancing between achieving an organisation’s objectives and risk taking and understand the challenges it presents and be able to support informed decisions that align with the organisation’s risk appetite. As a confident communicator you will have the ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations when communicating risk and gaining buy-in for risk management to build consensus and manage transparency. For more information read the full Role Description: Risk Manager EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
