As the Manager of Transport Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the transport strategy for the vibrant city we call home. Your work will be instrumental in optimising opportunities for high quality urban design and enhancing the city’s liveability. You’ll support the sustainable development of Melbourne as a people-focused city by ensuring the effective delivery of Council Action Plans and leading the development of expert advice on all aspects of urban transport planning. Your expertise will guide city-wide spatial visions, masterplans, structure plans and other key documents. What you will bring (Selection criteria) Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: urban planning, public policy, transport engineering and planning, transport economics, or other relevant field. Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated understanding of transport strategies that enable future growth and urban renewal. Excellent analytical, organisational, presentation and leadership skills. A track record of managing complex projects and tasks, with the ability to deliver on time and within budget.
