The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) is the caretaker of Perth’s cemeteries, entrusted to commemorate the lives of Western Australians now and into the future. We have a permanent full-time position available for a Manager Support Services to oversee the operational and administrative coordination of client services, monumental and memorial services, and funeral concierge services in operational sites across the Perth metropolitan area. Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role. The successful applicant will be responsible for efficiently deploying team members, fostering internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, recruiting and developing team members, and ensuring smooth service delivery to meet business objectives. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures and driving continuous improvement by identifying system and process challenges. About the role We seek a passionate client service leader to provide a seamless and high-quality service to clients in our beautiful cemeteries. The Manager Support Services will be responsible for: Overseeing customer services, monumental and memorial services, and funeral concierge services across all MCB sites, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Developing and implementing team plans, effectively deploying team members and resources to meet business needs, while building and maintaining relationships with Funeral Directors and community groups. Enhancing team capabilities to create cohesive, high-performing, multiskilled, and agile teams, ensuring a consistently high standard of performance. Collaborating with others to resolve issues and complaints, and identify system and process challenges, providing solutions for continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people, projects, and financial resources in a complex organisation with multiple work sites. The ability to resolve complex problems, review business processes, develop and implement new or improved procedures, and correctly interpret and apply legislation. Ability to prioritise tasks and workload to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives in an environment subject to competing priorities and change.
