Job Description

Oversee the capability and development of a highly skilled team of staff and play a lead role in ensuring consistency and innovation in the provision of service excellence.As The Manager, Tribunal And Registry Services, You Will Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary high performing team, fostering an organisational environment that supports staff, values performance and personal development, teamwork, customer focus and best practice outcomes in service delivery. Contribute to the strategic and business objectives of QCAT and support QCAT's leadership team by fostering a work environment focused on continuous improvement through identifying and implementing business, process and technological improvements. Champion human-centred and trauma-informed service delivery, proactive use of digital technology, and data analysis to improve service delivery and efficiencies. Champion a best practice approach to risk management by recognising and responding to risks, including potential risks, relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of tribunal users with a focus on safety for staff and all tribunal users. This also includes determining appropriate actions and pathways for information sharing with other internal or external parties. Cultivate and nurture professional and collaborative relationships based on respectful and confidential engagement with key stakeholders including judiciary and tribunal members and their staff, government agencies, self-represented litigants, and the public to provide effective service delivery and support. Develop, review and implement best practice policies and procedures to ensure delivery of timely and effective registry services. Participate in and complete QCAT initiatives and activities to support the achievement of the QCAT business plan and strategy. Continuously improve engagement with the Magistrates Court Services who provide QCAT services in the regions, regarding service delivery expectations, resource and venue management and monitor performance to enhance the timeliness and quality of services. Efficiently implement and champion policy and procedural reforms, with a specific emphasis on fostering innovative and consistent policies and procedures that are pertinent to the tribunal. Establish and uphold robust workforce planning, performance management, staff development and mentoring frameworks with the registry to achieve QCAT strategic and operational goals. Perform duties in accordance with the position's Financial and Human Resources Delegation of Authority. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
