About the opportunity The Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering and Product Improvement Manager and is part of the Engineering team. Working closely with the National Operations Manager, the key focus of this role is to manage technical in-house R&D manufacturing projects, actively participate in equipment building and commissioning, and provide ongoing support for both new and existing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. More specifically, you will: Collaborate with project teams to optimise production process Act as SME for manufacturing automation Directly impact productivity and capacity gains through Engineering - process design, development, and implementation of automation Prepare equipment process and design drawings Participate in functional, safety and design reviews Oversee equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and change management Maintain and enhance existing equipment performance Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the design and execution of all work Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment issues About you You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will: Skilled engineering or trade background (Manufacturing/ Mechanical / Robotics / Mechatronic Engineer/ Technician) 5+ years proven experience in Manufacturing/ Mechanical discipline and project management Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles CAD modelling skills (Autocad & Inventor preferable), developing and reviewing designs electronically Demonstrated knowledge of PLC & HMI, Machining & Fabrication skills - desirable Thrive on a fast-paced, high-volume environment, whilst managing strong customer relations Positive, proactive attitude, striving for excellence Ability to travel interstate as required Interested?
