About the Role As Marketing Operations Manager – Events & Trade Shows , you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major industry events, trade shows, and roadshows across Australia. This role is integral to strengthening market presence, driving customer engagement, and supporting business growth through high-quality, strategic event marketing. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders to deliver seamless event experiences that align with commercial objectives and enhance brand positioning. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute national trade shows, roadshows, and strategic marketing events. Develop event strategies that align with commercial objectives and enhance brand presence. Manage event logistics, vendor partnerships, and stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless execution. Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align event content with business priorities. Oversee branding, sponsorships, and promotional activities to maximise event impact. Develop and track event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution. Analyse event performance, gathering insights to refine future event strategies. Identify and leverage opportunities to showcase company innovations, products, and solutions at key industry events. Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and third-party agencies. Lead event marketing campaigns, including digital promotions, email outreach, and social media integration. Ensure all events comply with corporate branding, messaging, and customer engagement guidelines. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging event technologies. Develop post-event reports, assessing ROI and key takeaways for continuous improvement. Skills & Experience Strong experience in marketing operations, event planning, or trade show management. Proven ability to manage large-scale industry events and roadshows from concept to execution. Experience working in the energy, automation, or technology sectors (preferred). Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business units. Strong analytical skills to measure event success and refine strategies accordingly. Experience in vendor and contract management, including budget oversight. High attention to detail and a hands-on approach to event execution. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
