POSITION SUMMARY To be responsible for generating new business and leads, seeking and negotiating contracts and engaging new clients. This will be accomplished by developing, maintaining and expanding relationships with the professional community who are in a position to refer clients and business to the company and through maintaining and developing new marketing methods. SERVICE OBJECTIVES To establish links and relationships on behalf of Senior Helpers to external bodies and persons with a view to increasing awareness of the services and programs of Senior Helpers with a view to developing and driving leads and stimulating growth. The employee is expected to operate with: a high level of commitment excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a changing environment excellent phone skills and follow-up skills with prospects and influence centre personnel proactive problem-solving and issue resolution leadership ability competence in conflict management and resolution empathy with aged persons and adults with disabilities and their respective carers good time management skills, flexibility and an ability to set goals; prioritise tasks and work under pressure knowledge of local services available within the community. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (including Key Performance Indicators): The Marketing/Sales Manager has responsibility for: identifying all local influence centres (hospitals, residential care, assisted living communities, retirement communities, general practices, etc.) to determine lead sources developing and managing new lead sources per blueprint and sales strategies conducting initial interviews with prospective clients and their representatives detailing the scope of services, client expectations and documenting relevant information ensuring that clients are made aware of their rights respecting their privacy, confidentiality, dignity, fulfilling duty of care requirements assessing the ability of potential clients to pay their contributions regularly and maintaining system for collection and recording visiting and arranging meetings (virtual or personal) with persons responsible or in a position to refer clients, including private and not-for-profit organisations arranging presentations of Senior Helpers services at staff meetings and venues that may refer clients to Senior Helpers attending trade shows, conferences, networking events representing Senior Helpers assisting with other marketing activities including direct mail, email, social media, print ads, networking and other forms of marketing promoting a safe, healthy and hazard-free working environment by conducting home risk assessments. Key Performance Indicators Development of a monthly sales plan. Maintaining contacts in a CRM. Developing new referral source action plans. Actively using Action Plans with all referral sources. Generating leads: 5 - 10 per month Attending external or virtual marketing events as a Senior Helpers representative at least monthly. Making connections with decision makers of potential referral sources. Self-Development: actively participate in self-development activities. Senior Helpers’ formal performance assessment process includes an annual performance appraisal by the Owner/Franchisee. You will also be encouraged to play an active role in ongoing, informal reviews of your job performance. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Excellent and proven organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a changing environment. Excellent phone skills and experience with follow-up skills with prospects and influence centre personnel. Proactive problem-solving and issue resolution leadership ability. Demonstrated competence in conflict management and resolution. Demonstrated empathy with aged persons, adults with disabilities and carers. Good time management skills, flexibility and an ability to set goals; prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Current registration with AHPRA (as appropriate). Maintain a current National Police Check (within 3 years). Unrestricted drivers’ license. Current Working with Vulnerable Persons’ Card Desirable Degree in business (marketing) health care or primary care. Understanding of the needs of frail aged persons and adults with disabilities in the community. General understanding of the health and aged care system. Understanding of financial and statistical reporting requirements. Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages (MS Office) and the ability to learn proprietary databases. Proficiency with internet use and email.
