About the Role The Mechanical Coordinator position is highly proficient in all applications relating to mechanical works, diagnosis of faults, statutory compliance and can be relied upon to supervise Mechanical Personnel to perform these functions with minimal supervision and direction. The Mechanical Coordinator is also required to provide leadership and coaching to less experienced members of the Maintenance team. Responsibilities: Planning and coordinating of mechanical maintenance which includes statutory, routine, and perspective maintenance. Maintain compliance with site policies and procedures at all times. Statutory compliance and lead improvement of site operating and engineering standards. Actively contribute to the forecasting and scheduling of mechanical maintenance activities and projects. Overseeing Underground and Surface Infrastructure mechanical components, equipment, and personnel. Ensure performance to meet productivity requirements. Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously as required. Coaching and mentoring mechanical trades to ensure best practice guidelines are understood and adhered to. Ensure executive activities are conducted safely and cost-effectively. About You The successful candidates will have the following: Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter. Previous experience working in an underground place change coal mining operation. Standard 11 Induction Statement of Attainment. Current C Class QLD driver’s license. Well-developed mechanical maintenance skills on a wide range of mining equipment. What Sojitz can offer you Competitive remuneration package. 7/7-day shift roster.
