Job Description
Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship with a local, family-owned engineering business. The Opportunity: Start your Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship with a well-known, family-owned business in Melbourne's South East. Our client, JC Smale Engineering in Notting Hill, VIC, is looking for an apprentice fitter & turner. You'll receive training from a supportive team while learning an in-demand trade. Location: Notting Hill, VICHours of work: Monday-Thursday 6am - 2:30pm, & Fridays 6am-12pm About the role: Learn the use of a variety of hand tools Develop an understanding of engineering drawings Conventional manual and CNC machining Maintenance, refurbishment, and new build fitting About You: Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia Driver's license and reliable transport Take pride in your work Have completed a Certificate II in Engineering or have experience working with metal (desirable) Benefits: Learn an in-demand trade Gain a nationally recognized Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering qualification Mentoring from experienced industry professionals throughout your apprenticeship All training fees and PPE paid for Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation that partners with Australia's best companies, producing powerful outcomes for apprentices and trainees.
