This role is in charge of their shift and must ensure the efficient, effective and safe operation of all areas under their control.Responsibilities Include: Monitor and ensure safe and efficient mechanical/electrical production operations of gin site. Undertake mechanical/electrical based maintenance and repairs to minimise plant and equipment unplanned downtime. Install new or modify existing assemblies and components. Ensure maintenance and repairs plan/schedule is adhered to. Establish open lines of communication between departments to ensure repairs are carried out in an efficient manner. Provide reactive support to cotton ginnery equipment in the event of an emergency breakdown. Conduct testing of all ginnery machinery and equipment to ensure all ginning machinery are operating at maximum capacity. Skills and Experience: Mechanical or electrical trade/certification or five or more years relevant experience. Demonstrated experience in maintenance/production environments. Team player attitude with high attention to detail. Ability to commit to residing in the Northern Territory. Willingness and ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug + Alcohol testing. A reliable work ethic, good communication skills with a safety-first attitude are essential to succeeding in this role.
