An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an emerging tertiary health service undergoing rapid expansion in the wonderful geographical environs of Sunshine Coast. Remuneration up $322,712 p.a. We are looking for an exceptional Medical Practitioner to lead our BreastScreen team as Medical Director. A Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians (FASBP) is desirable but not essential. SCHHS Salary includes: Base salary comprising of between $87.25 – $120.51 p.h. Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)L13 - L24 - $21,000 p.a. L25 - $25,500 p.a. Clinical Managers Allowance $16,828 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time) Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 35% of base salary Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time) The role of the Medical Director, BreastScreen is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical leadership, and in partnership with the Service Manager, direction to benefit the patients accessing the BreastScreen Services in the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). BreastScreen Queensland is part of the National BreastScreen Australia program, providing access to free screening and assessment, to eligible women every two years. It aims to achieve significant reductions in mortality and morbidity from breast cancer by actively recruiting and screening women aged from 40 years of age, with a target age group being 50-74 years for early detection of the disease. The program is available to women throughout the Sunshine Coast. In addition to your clinical and professional expertise, you must have skills in managing people, leadership and sustainable financial decision accountability.
