The MHECS Clinician is responsible for coordinating and delivering emergency mental health consultations, assessments, and support services to persons (including their family, and/or carers) who are experiencing acute mental health crisis in the MLHD. The MHECS Clinician together with the on-call consultant psychiatrist develop a plan to assist, support and guide the emergency department clinicians in 32 hospitals across MLHD in managing mental health consumers' risk, medications, and plans for ongoing care.
