Mergers and Acquisitions Manager - Melbourne Our client is a prominent global healthcare and real asset owner with its Australian headquarters in Melbourne. It focuses on acquiring, managing, and developing a diverse portfolio of healthcare assets, including hospitals, clinics, senior living facilities, and medical office buildings, as well as real estate investments in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The M&A Manager will be responsible for leading and executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships within the organisation. The preferred candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive growth, innovation, and value creation. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end M&A transactions, including identifying targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and executing deals. Manage external advisors such as legal, financial, and tax consultants. Oversee financial modeling, valuations, and integration planning. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic alliances. Develop and implement M&A strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic vision for M&A activities. Maintain strong relationships with external parties, including investment bankers, legal teams, and consultants. Coordinate and conduct due diligence efforts to assess operational, legal, and financial risks. Identify synergies and post-acquisition value drivers. Oversee post-acquisition integration efforts to ensure smooth transitions and achievement of strategic goals. Develop integration plans and monitor post-merger performance. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field 5-8 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting.
