Company Description Fire Central Pty Ltd is a trusted partner in fire protection services with a commitment to providing reliable and affordable fire protection solutions. We offer design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance services for various fire protection systems including but not limited to fire sprinkler, fire hydrant, fire detection & alarm and gas suppression systems. Role Description Due to recent growth in our projects portfolio, we are looking for a full-time Minor Works Project Manager - Fire Systems located in the Greater Melbourne Area. The Project Manager will be responsible for expediting projects, managing budgets, overseeing material and labour, and ensuring the timely completion of minor fire system works. Key Responsibilities Manage fire system projects from estimation to design and installation to successful handover. Ensure all fire systems meet Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and industry regulations. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality control checks. Prepare technical documentation, SWMS, ITP, reports, and certifications. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities. Oversee and coordinate installation teams and subcontract labour. Attend and organize project coordination meetings. Prepare and submit Wet & Dry fire drawings for approval. Use project management tools such as Procore, Aconex, Bluebeam, AutoCAD & Microsoft Office Suite. Requirements Minimum 3-5 years experience in project management within the fire protection industry. Knowledge of Wet & Dry Fire Systems, including estimation, design, budgeting, scheduling, and compliance. Relevant trade and/or tertiary qualifications in fire protection (Sprinkler Fitter, Fire Alarm Engineer, FSD, etc. preferred). Strong understanding of Australian Standards & NCC. Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred but not essential). Construction White Card, Working with Children and valid Victorian driver’s license. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. A positive, can-do attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
