The purpose of the role of the Project Manager – Primary Care is to coordinate delivery of the Right Care, Right Place (RCRP) project. RCRP is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Health and Aged Care. The RCRP project seeks to build/grow a more accessible and integrated regional system of care through an Eating Disorder Coordinator model. The project is embedded in five geographically, culturally and socially distinct regions across Australia, in partnership with four Primary Health Networks (PHNs): Adelaide, Northwestern Melbourne, Northern Territory (Top End and Central Australia), and Western Queensland. The Project Manager – Primary Care will take on ongoing project management for the established RCRP project. The Project Manager will oversee all project activities and ensure project deliverables and outcomes are delivered on time and within scope and budget, as defined by the contract with the Department of Health and Aged Care and with each project site. The Project Manager will be responsible for continued engagement, relationship management and information dissemination with the Project Leads and Eating Disorder Coordinators at each of the five sites as well as their teams, primary health audiences and other key stakeholders via the RCRP project. They will be accountable for maintaining and monitoring project governance frameworks, including overseeing risk management and the implementation of mitigation strategies, ensuring timely reporting of escalation of issues. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading an internal project team and liaising with the NEDC National Director who has overall responsibility for the project. This position reports to the National Director. Responsibilities • Oversee coordination of the RCRP project with the NEDC RCRP project team (Evaluation Lead, Workforce Development Lead and National Director) based on key deliverables and timelines.• Coordinate the development and implementation of key project resources, tools and activities to facilitate quality and consistency of RCRP activities, and to reduce duplication across each of the sites. This includes governance documents and frameworks, evaluation, workforce strategy, and communications.• Build and maintain strategic relationships with site Project Leads, Eating Disorder Coordinators and other key stakeholders and collaborative partners across RCRP sites and initiate opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships.• Create opportunities for collaboration between sites and other stakeholders within PHN regions.• Provide strategic consultancy advice to RCRP site Project Leads to support the implementation of the Right Care, Right Place model.• Utilise key NEDC and broader sector assets (e.g., including resources, clinical tools, training and workforce planning resources) to facilitate local implementation of RCRP.• Identify opportunities for innovation in line with evolving site and project needs and coordinate their implementation.• Support the evaluation of the RCRP project by providing support to the RCRP Evaluation Coordinator and supporting relationships between Flinders University and RCRP sites.• Collaborate with the NEDC Workforce Development Lead to coordinate workforce development strategies within each project site as aligned with overall project KPIs.• Report to and engage the RCRP Expert Advisory Group (EAG) to inform ongoing project activities.• Implement detailed project plans to monitor and measure performance of RCRP project activities.• Represent NEDC in a variety of contexts including to various agencies, professional networks, and government as required.• Prepare reports on project activities to meet NEDC reporting requirements in conjunction with other members of the RCRP team.• Undertake administrative functions and perform other project management activities as required to deliver the project.• Support other key strategic projects of the NEDC including work with PHNs through disseminating resources, findings and connections from the RCRP project. Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge To be successful in this position, the position-holder will need to be able to demonstrate the essential qualifications, skills and knowledge listed below. In addition, the desirable skills, knowledge and behaviours listed will be beneficial to success in this position. Essential • A background in health, mental health, social sciences, education, community development or a related discipline.• Demonstrated high-level project management skills, including experience in end-to-end leadership of large-scale change projects.• Experience overseeing systems change projects with multiple sites and key stakeholders.• Strong strategic engagement and verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to collaborate effectively with the internal project team while also demonstrating initiative and accountability in independent work.• Understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice and their application in a health context.• Competent-to-advanced use of computer software (MS Office, videoconferencing, collaboration tools, research software).• An understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations.
