SA Health Job reference: 891813Location: 5006 - NORTH ADELAIDEJob status: OngoingEligibility: Open to EveryoneWomen's and Children's Health Network, Allied Health, Complex, Sub-Acute and Spiritual Care, North Adelaide (5006) Salary/Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $125,183 to $130,779 Employment Part time - Ongoing Permanent About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Palliative Care Service team as a Nurse Consultant, where you will be responsible for: Providing direct, expert clinical nursing care, select, and implement different therapeutic interventions, provide individual case management to a defined population of patients/clients, and evaluate progress. Integrating contemporary information and evidence with personal experience to support the decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis that is expected at this level. Provide effective complex discharge planning and hospital avoidance strategies through education, equipment provision, and referrals. Apply nursing expertise in a multidisciplinary primary health care setting to assess clients, select appropriate therapeutic interventions, and evaluate patient/client progress. Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to local clinical teams, ensuring integrated nursing care within a risk management framework. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience. Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proven ability for flexibility, innovation, and creativity within the whole of service setting. Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines. What WCHN Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
