Location: Laverton North, VIC or Arndell Park, NSW Job Type: Permanent full time Hours: Monday to Friday The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced National HSSEQ Manager to lead and drive the achievement of WHSE objectives and the implementation of strategies across the Group nationwide. This pivotal role will support HSSEQ initiatives and ensure the ongoing success of safety and quality standards across all operations. The position is based in either Laverton North, VIC or Arndell Park, NSW, with occasional interstate travel required. The role is available for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities Fostering a collaborative safety culture and ensuring that WHSE policies and procedures comply with applicable legislation. Be the WHSE subject matter expert providing high level expertise and advice to the senior leadership team on all matters and changes to safety legislation and risk and coordinate communication to external bodies including regulatory bodies. Develop, implement and support all WHSE initiatives, policies, procedures and practices including but not limited to fit for work, induction, high risk work, safety compliance training, incident & injury management, rehabilitation and emergency evacuation. Plan and implement programs to train leaders and team members in work site safety practices. On a national level, ensuring that each State is implementing proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments. Undertake accident investigation in collaboration with relevant leader and stakeholders to determine root cause and close out corrective actions. Oversee the administration of workers' compensation program, including working with the insurer to reduce employee lost time and work with operational leader to maintain employee wellbeing and engagement including HR as required. Manage day to day operations, ensuring consistency with legislative requirements and quality standards. Willingness to travel as required. Performing other duties as needed. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in WHS, Environmental Science, Behavioural Science, or related field (minimum Cert IV). 5 years' experience in a similar role. Strong background in ISO compliance, WHS legislation, and risk management. Labour Hire industry experience preferred. Knowledge of WHSE legislation. Experience leading WHSE at all levels. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable). Internal auditing experience. WHSO certification. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Commercial acumen. Proficient in MS Office. Valid Australian driver's license and car.
