About the Role As a National Property Manager in our Commercial Banking team, you’ll play a key role in helping to support Commercial Property Lending momentum in ANZ Private by supporting client origination activity, coaching staff on deal structure/policy and Credit Approval decisioning. This role will manage the execution of the property strategy nationally across the Private Bank property portfolio. Key functions of this role involve exercising CAD for Property transactions, monitoring the national Private Bank property portfolios, and working with State Directors and key stakeholders on training and coaching frontline and credit staff on structuring property transactions. As a National Property Manager, you will be accountable for: Optimisation of Risk Weighted Asset consumption and driving improved returns through whole of customer behaviour. Delivering capital cost efficiencies through improving portfolio credit quality and being able to speak to trends and observations across the portfolio. Implementing and leading Property Account Planning disciplines. Implementation of “best practices” in customer acquisition and management across all private bank channels considering the target market of each channel. Leading and managing specific property strategic and business initiatives to deliver positive outcomes for frontline managers and/or the customer including industry events, broker, COI and partnership engagements to drive improved market share. Driving portfolio remediation with full consideration of customer experience and retention. Ensuring that the industry‐based knowledge, insights and training is effectively disseminated to our commercial bankers across relevant segments. Supporting and driving the significant transformation within Australia Commercial to improve customer and banker experience. Providing intellectual leadership in all client and credit related matters as a senior CAD holder. Keeping abreast of all key industry information and ensuring timely dissemination across the team. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Industry experience: Current and ongoing understanding of industry trends, including in-depth understanding of the drivers of the Property industry, practical knowledge, market & competition factors, key customer success indicators, supplier/contract norms, credit approval drivers, and understanding of strategy application within the industry. Communication: The ability to convey and comprehend information effectively in both spoken and written formats. Business Development: The activity of partnering with individuals and/or organisations to pursue strategic initiatives, relationships and/or opportunities to drive commercial value. Counsel & Guidance: Providing accurate and ethical advice recommendations and thought leadership. A customer‐first mindset, balanced with deep analytical thinking and the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information to make sound decisions.
