National Proposals Manager - SA - Thebarton About us: Established in 2001, Guidera O’Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and has a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water, and SEQ Water. About the Role: As the National Proposals Manager, you will be a key member of the Pre-Contracts team, overseeing and managing all proposals through to submission. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to produce high-quality proposals that meet client requirements and deadlines. It also requires an understanding of public procurement processes and an ability to write technically compelling responses to specific questions in the engineering/construction field. More specifically you will: Manage and lead all EOI and ROI requests. Manage and lead all Engineering Solution bid requests. Act as, or allocate within their team, the Proposals Lead for all D&C / Construct Only bids. Conduct thorough reviews of proposal drafts to identify errors, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement. Ensure a high level of quality within all proposals submitted by the business. Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize the proposal development process, such as implementing new tools or templates. Maintain a centralized repository of proposal content, including boilerplate text, case studies, and reference materials. Act as the Proposal Lead on some specific bids that would require site visits, submitting and sharing responses on all bids with the core and wider bid teams. As our ideal candidate you will have: A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Proven experience managing large-scale proposals, tenders, or bids in a complex, deadline-driven environment, preferably in the construction industry. Strong writing, editing, and project management skills. An ability to lead a team effectively and influence at all levels of the business. Strong communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities. An ability to think strategically with a deadline-driven mindset and a commitment to quality.
