About the Role The National Work Health Safety Manager will ensure that OzHarvest operates in a safe manner, complying with all relevant legislation and in line with our Corporate Governance and Risks Management framework. This leadership role is essential to keeping the OzHarvest people and workplaces safe. This role will lead health and safety initiatives and maintain and build on a strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture for OzHarvest. This can be a full time or part time (4 day) role based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. The successful candidate can demonstrate: A strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and codes Proven success in supporting best practice principles of workplace safety, and ensuring continuous improvement of operational practices Skilled in training individuals and organisations to maintain safety across all parts of the business Expertise in record keeping, reporting, reviews, audits and assessments Capability in managing workers compensation claims and return to work processes with a strong emphasis on care for our employees Why you should come and work with us: We are a team of magnificent people doing work we care deeply about, making a difference to both sustainability and our communities We offer up to 5 additional leave days, one for your birthday and one for a self care day, and gratitude leave, an additional leave across December and January.
