Job Description
Desired Competencies (Technical Competency) Must-Have Experience in Network Support with good knowledge and troubleshooting experience on Routing and Switching. Must have worked or managed enterprise-grade datacenter networks. Experience in working with Nexus 5K, Nexus 7K/9K, Nexus 2K, routers, and Juniper switches. Experience in testing, implementing, and supporting advanced Layer-2/3 switching solutions. Experience in Cisco or Juniper routing and switching, Cisco ISE, Cisco Meraki, and F5 Load Balancer. Good knowledge and experience in working with VRFs, VDCs, AAA, and SNMP. Experience with monitoring tools (DHCP/DNS/IPAM). Experience in management and upgrades of F5 devices (GTM, LTM, WAF, VPN, Firewalls). Experience with Infoblox DNS and upgrades. Experience with Juniper switches and Core MX routers. Experience in using Ansible automation for various activities across network devices and F5 upgrades. Experience with SDN and Cisco ACI. Experience with firewalls such as Checkpoint, FortiGate, or Cisco Prime. Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, Private VLANs, VTP, STP, DTP, Trunking, Stacking, High Availability Protocols - HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, EtherChannel, DOT1Q, ISL, SVI). Experience in configuring/troubleshooting Layer 3 protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Static Routing, Floating Static Routing, Failover). Good-to-Have Knowledge of network management tools such as configuration management, network health check tools, and log collectors. Knowledge in monitoring networks with tools like Cacti, Netcool, Nagios, PRTG, NetFlow, etc. Knowledge of Spectrum, E-Health, Cisco Prime, NCM, and IPAM. Knowledge of the Infovista tool. Understanding of Internet Lease Lines, SDWAN, and MPLS. Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role Design and configure network implementations/upgrades. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in architectural design reviews. Provide support for LAN/WAN networking technologies, including F5 LB support. Perform analysis of various projects and effort estimations. Perform upgrades and implementations across multiple network devices – manually and using Ansible automation.
