We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. Position: Permanent Part Time (0.6 EFT / 48 Hours) Salary Range: $59k - $78k + Superannuation Benefits: Great Staff Benefits, 5 Weeks Annual Leave & Salary Packaging About us headspace Southern Melbourne was established in 2007 and Alfred Health became the lead agency in 2011. The centre was relocated and became headspace Elsternwick in 2013. In the same year, headspace Elsternwick launched the beginnings of the headspace Early Psychosis program. headspace Early Psychosis, established in 2011, is an accessible youth and family friendly mental health service for young people (12-25) struggling with hearing voices and unusual beliefs. It builds on individual strengths and resilience, uses the wisdom of lived experience and fosters hope, potential and recovery. headspace Early Psychosis operates in five headspace centres across the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. Four regional Community Care Teams (CCTs) are based in Bentleigh, Frankston, Dandenong and Narre Warren. The service also includes a Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) and a centre-based Recovery Program to serve the whole of the Southern Metropolitan region. About the role The primary role is to provide clinical neuropsychological services to young people and their families referred through headspace Early Psychosis. The position requires experience in the assessment and diagnosis of a range of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders and a commitment to high standards of client care and family support. Development and delivery of information/education programs for young people and families is also part of the role. Demonstrated ability to work within the community and to offer consultation and education with a range of service providers is required. Capacity to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team is essential. The successful applicant will participate in service development planning, implementation, and evaluation activities. The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to research, education and training. This Senior Neuropsychologist will work within the team structure at hEP and will be supported by the Senior Clinical Psychologist and clinical supervision as arranged. The incumbent will be a senior member of the Alfred Psychology Department and will be involved in department activities and duties, as time allows, including the supervision of students/other staff as well as professional development activities and research.
