Employment Type: Permanent full timeHours: 80-hour per fortnight with monthly ADOSalary: As per NSW Health Nurses and Midwives (State) AwardLocation: Palliative Care Inpatient Unit, Mercy Health AlburyUpload with Application: Please upload resume and cover letter.Contact: Jane Bryant, , 02 60421404About The Opportunity As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of our Mercy Health Albury Palliative Care Unit which consists of a 10-bed inpatient and community palliative care service operating in the regional city of Albury, NSW. Providing holistic specialist multidisciplinary palliative care services to Albury and surrounds. The multidisciplinary team is headed by an enthusiastic palliative care physician and includes nursing staff, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, Dietetics, Speech pathology and pastoral care worker. We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses as well as complex symptom management.Key Responsibilities: Manage Mercy Health Albury - Inpatient & Community Palliative Care Services. Provide best practice care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team. Act in a position of advocacy for the patient and their family in collaboration with medical staff, nursing staff and allied health staff. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.To Thrive In This Role, You Will Have: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Experience in palliative care is essential. Minimum 2 years post graduate nursing experience. Demonstrate time management and organisational skills. Ability to operate computer programs such as Electronic Medical Records. Additional Requirements: A current Police Record Check.
