Nurse Unit Manager (Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health) Join our dynamic team as a temporary Nurse Unit Manager of Blood Borne Virus & Sexual Health, where you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a specialist service that makes a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities.The NUM is a senior clinician and manager responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating nursing and related services within a clinical unit. This role is accountable for delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring compliance with national and professional standards.The Blood Borne Virus & Sexual Health Service provides assessment, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive education for at-risk populations. The BBV Service offers medical and nursing care, support, and education for individuals with blood borne viruses and their families.Submit your application now to be considered! About the role: The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is a senior level clinician and manager who is accountable at an advanced level for leading, directing and coordinating the nursing and associated services within a clinical unit to provide the highest level of care to patients and meeting national and professional standards. About you: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Bachelors in nursing/Midwifery and relevant post graduate qualification. Demonstrate high level knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory. High level knowledge of legislation, standards, policies, and procedures relevant to contemporary nursing practice and specific to area of practice. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing and challenging situations utilising high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
