There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join the Ryde Hospital nursing leadership team as the Nurse Unit Manager on a permanent full time basis. Where you'll be working : Ryde Hospital - Ward 5 General Medical.Ryde Hospital is undergoing a $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more. Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely. What you'll be doing : The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service. Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
