This position of Nurse Unit Manager provides leadership and management to the multidisciplinary team within the Theatre/CSSD complex. The NUM is responsible for ensuring that clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with the Nursing and Midwifery Board standards, NHW Nursing & Midwifery Capability Framework domains of practice and NHW values and code of conduct and aligns with the organisational values. As the NUM, you are responsible for leading the delivery of comprehensive, safe and evidence-based nursing care to promote optimal health outcomes for all patients. You will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills as well as highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. You will be required to establish relationships and work closely with the Physician craft groups, Clinical Director of Internal Medicine, and leaders of the allied health teams to drive best patient outcomes. The role is a senior leadership role, and you will have strong peer support as well as mentoring and coaching from your manager.
