Look no further than Jamberoo Native Nursery (JNN) We are a national award-winning wholesale nursery situated in the Illawarra area of NSW. JNN produces and supplies high quality plant stock for a wide range of markets which include big-box retailers, residential, civil & commercial landscape, housing sub-division & revegetation projects - producing large volumes of stock for our own revegetation division - Southern Bushland Repair (SBR) . We take pride in delivering high quality plants coupled with superior service. About the role As Production Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager, responsible for ensuring all production of stock is produced efficiently, maintaining high levels of quality across the nursery site, leading, and organising an already structured and enthusiastic team, all within in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, to ensure all nursery operations are being managed to the highest of standards. Ensuring weekly and monthly production targets are met and delivered to already defined procedures and production standards. Responsibilities Supervision & management of nursery staff. Quality control & production of all plant stock. Achieving production targets. Ensuring OH&S policies are being adhered to. Skills & experience The successful candidate will ideally have: A demonstrated minimum of 5 years supervisory & management experience in a wholesale nursery. Proven leadership and communication skills. High level of fitness for repetitive outdoor work. Formal qualification in horticulture. A demonstrated interest in native plants and the environment. Full time - 38 hrs/week. Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm. Friday - 7.30am - 1.30pm.
