Job Opportunity: Operation and Maintenance Manager - Solar Farm Location: Wollar, NSWPosition Type: Fixed TermAbout the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Operation and Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance activities at a leading solar farm in Wollar. This role is crucial to ensuring optimal performance and compliance with the National Electricity Rules. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability, driving the success of a major renewable energy project in Australia.Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Ensure compliance with National Electricity Rules and regulatory standards. Monitor solar farm performance, implementing strategies to maximise efficiency and power output. Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtime. Coordinate manpower and materials for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations meet industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols. Lead regular safety drills and reviews to maintain high safety standards. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the O&M team to foster continuous improvement and professional growth. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with network operators, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. Provide regular reports on solar farm performance to senior management and stakeholders. Budget and Resource Management: Manage the O&M budget to ensure cost-effective operations. Optimise resource allocation to achieve operational efficiency. Technical Support and Innovation: Serve as the primary technical contact for operational and maintenance issues. Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices to enhance performance and reliability. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of solar farms or renewable energy facilities. In-depth knowledge of National Electricity Rules and regulations. Proven track record in managing utility-scale solar facility operations and maintenance. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
