What you'll be doing: Provision of high-quality patient centred, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to rehabilitation outpatients at Auburn Hospital. The occupational therapy rehabilitation outpatient caseload may include: hospital-based therapy intervention, virtual care, rehabilitation in the home working with people with cognitive impairment and community-based intervention (assistive technology and modifications). Additionally, the occupational therapy outpatient service provides intervention to the Motor Neurone, Communication and Assistive Technology, and Spasticity Clinics. This position is part of the wider Occupational Therapy team and may be required to assist with the provision of Occupational Therapy services to all areas of the hospital, including both inpatient and outpatient services. Essential Requirements: Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Registration: Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist Selection Criteria: Demonstrated clinical experience working as an occupational therapist in a rehabilitation setting. Experience working with clients with complex neurological conditions providing occupational therapy including the following areas: upper limb intervention, functional retraining, cognitive assessment and retraining, home modifications and assistive technology. Skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating intervention programmes. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills and effective time management and organisational skills. Commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and quality improvement. Current NSW driver’s licence.
