Office of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security View all jobs $116,656 to $130,045 plus 15.4% superannuation The Office of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security (IGIS) is central to the independent oversight of the Australian intelligence and security agencies. The Inspector General is an independent statutory office holder who reviews the activities of Australia’s intelligence and security agencies to ensure they act legally and with propriety, comply with ministerial guidelines and directives, and respect human rights. All IGIS staff members assist the Inspector-General to provide assurance to ministers, the parliament and the public that these agencies are using their powers as intended. The Opportunity The Office Manager provides a range of high-level executive and office support services to the Inspector-General and the Executive team at the Office of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security (OIGIS). This includes managing executive diaries, travel arrangements, event coordination, office logistics, and day-to-day operational needs. The role demands excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality. Key responsibilities of the Office Manager providing high level administrative support to the OIGIS executive, supporting the Inspector-General, Deputy Inspector-General, Assistant Inspector-Generals (2) and Executive Director, in a range of administrative functions, including but not limited to: diary management preparations for meetings follow-up actions from meetings general communications developing the implementation and evaluation of administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes for the OIGIS streamlining senior executive workflow and developing support processes to enhance efficiency coordinating, tracking and responding as appropriate to incoming correspondence and other documents establishing strong working relationships across the National Intelligence Community Executive Offices and other relevant Government departments leading and supporting the Branch Support Officer and Executive Management Unit in delivering services to internal staff overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the office, including supplies, equipment maintenance, and overall office management requirements representing the OIGIS in a professional, respectful and courteous manner. Security, suitability and integrity requirements Positions at IGIS are positions of trust. Appointment to our Office depends on the outcome of an employment suitability assessment. Appointment and ongoing employment at the Office are subject to a Positive Vetting clearance being granted and maintained. Security vetting may take many months to complete and requires candidates to provide significant personal information to the vetting authority. In addition, all IGIS staff are required to make annual conflict of interest declarations to ensure the independence and integrity of the Office. Am I eligible to apply?
