• The perfect part-time role for an exceptional can-do office leader! • Permanent position | Welcoming team | Inner-city location (Ultimo) • Australian-owned and independent media and publishing company Hardie Grant is an Australian-owned, independent publishing and media business working with authors and clients to create high-quality books, magazines, websites and multi-channel content. We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and proactive part-time Office Manager to support Hardie Grant’s media and publishing divisions by leading and managing a variety of operations, administration and HR tasks. This is an excellent role for someone with at least 2 years office management experience who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This is a part-time position (max. 24 hours’ per week) to be conducted over 4 or 5 days. We can be flexible for the right candidate, with start and finish times for this role open for negotiation. The salary for this position is $60,000 – $63,000 + super p.a. pro rata (i.e., salary is adjusted based on the number of hours or days worked). What You’ll Be Doing: Working in a small team known as the Group Operations Team to manage the Sydney office. Be the first point of contact for all incoming calls and visitors. Assisting suppliers and service providers in the office or remotely such as, phone setup, IT technicians, general office repairs and ongoing maintenance. Purchasing office supplies and IT equipment. Negotiating with suppliers, organizing and getting approval from management on quotes for services required in the office. Coordinating with caterers or venues and organizing company events. Managing and overseeing the travel bookings and liaising with our travel suppliers as required. Keeping the client facing areas presentable and dressing the meeting rooms. Assisting with recruitment and other HR activities, including conducting initial phone interviews and assisting with induction, as required. Who We’re Looking For: Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word (Style formatting, template protection), Excel (conditional formatting, formula use), Powerpoint. Strong computer and IT skills to help with PC hardware and software set up and to liaise with suppliers. Down to earth, team player – someone who is happy to do whatever is needed, be that emptying a dishwasher or making a coffee for clients. Excellent attention to detail. Highly efficient in time management. Exceptional written communication skills. Strong verbal communication skills and confident answering the phone. A passion for providing outstanding customer service and going above and beyond for people no matter the task. Must have a current driver’s license.
