Officer, Research Training Services page is loaded Officer, Research Training Services Apply locations Melbourne time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday time left to apply End Date: February 13, 2025 (18 days left to apply) job requisition id JR36400 Overview: 1 x full-time fixed-term position until September 2026 Salary HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University About The Position As Officer, Research Training Services, you will be responsible for administration and customer service within the Research Service Centre which supports the Design and Social Context College. Your primary responsibility is to provide administrative support services to Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates and supervisors as part of candidature management. Key duties include providing administrative support to manage candidature progress, coordinating HDR events such as milestone conferences, problem solving, and facilitating referrals to specialised services. Additionally, the role involves ensuring efficient administration of services across the school to support Research and Training Services activities. To be successful in this position, you will have: Experience within the University sector in a relevant administrative / customer service role in a complex environment Strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to understand issues at both a broad and detailed operational level Proven track record supporting successful delivery of change, quality improvement and project initiatives in a challenging and dynamic environment Relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels and functions and with external parties Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and regulations Experience in supporting high-performing customer focussed teams to deliver to a range of clients Excellent communication skills including the ability to develop and present sound and compelling business cases, proposals and analytical reports to a variety of different audiences. Ability to work independently, as a member of a team and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to help achieve the strategic objectives of all colleges and promote the values of RMIT University Highly motivated, customer focussed and pro-active with highly developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to handle various and multiple functions simultaneously and under pressure Demonstrated high level of computer literacy – Excel, word processing, presentation software, email, internet and correspondence management databases and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new IT environments Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
