About KOTH King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia. Job Description Vault Minerals is seeking an Open Pit Mine Geologist to join our team at the King of the Hills Gold Mine . The Mine Geologist will play a key role in supporting the successful achievement of production and development goals for surface mining operations by delivering a comprehensive service that adheres to internal geological standards and environmental health and safety requirements. This role is offered on a 14/14 FIFO from Perth. Key Responsibilities Will Include Complete ore block outs for optimising mining of grade domains in the pit. Ensure ore is extracted to maximise recovery and minimise ore loss and dilution. Maintain accurate records to maximise recovery and minimise dilution. Ensure all data captured is recorded in a timely manner. Assist with monitoring, sampling and logging of grade control drilling programs to accurately delineate the orebody ahead of mining. Assist in entry of production data and the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports. Liaise with the Geologists and Metallurgists to assist with ROM ore stockpile management to optimise the blend into the Process Plant. Update all plans and sections with production, survey and drilling data. Assist with validation of all drilling data in Acquire and Leapfrog/Vulcan. Assist with training Geological Technicians. Key Factors To Your Success Include Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc. Geology or Applied Geology). Minimum 1+ years post-graduate experience within the resources industry. A sound understanding of open pit grade control processes, including GC drilling. Proficient in the use of Leapfrog Geo and/or Vulcan software. An understanding of data management and validation processes. An understanding of gold ore-forming processes. WA Driver’s Licence - C Class. Australian Working Rights.
