Roster: 4D3X - FIFO ex Perth This role covers the Cloudbreak & Christmas Creek Mine sites in the Chichester Water Management department. We are seeking a high performing and enthusiastic Operational Hydrogeologist to join our Chichester Water Management team. Reporting to the Senior Water Management Engineer, the central function of this position is the delivery of the operational dewatering plan as part of the rolling 3 Month Mine Plans. Key Responsibilities Timely delivery of dewatering inputs and plans for inclusion in the rolling 3-month mine plans. This includes:Translation of 2-year water assessments Monthly groundwater contours and projections Sump and trench locations and alignment Work management notifications Inclusion in plan presentation rollout Reconciliation and reporting of actual monthly dewatering performance (water levels, flows) against the 2-year water assessments including communication to 2-year planners, department and other key stakeholders Track compliance of borefield and sumping progress to plan Provide technical guidance and support to Operational Hydrogeologist (Short Term Planning), dewatering operational staff and other business units Inform department of sump asset requirements for budget and equipment planning Contribute to development and implementation of work programs to build on site hydrogeological knowledge, conceptual models and numerical groundwater models Generate improvement projects and assist the team to deliver these projects based on the benefit they will provide to the department and our key stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in Engineering Geology, Hydrogeology or Geosciences. Relevant applied experience in Hydrogeology. Water management experience in the mining industry with specifics around large scale open pit dewatering, water supply, reinjection, sumping and tailings operations. Knowledge of hydrogeological modelling, monitoring analysis, interpretation and reporting. Competent use of hydrogeological software packages. Demonstrated ability to engage, connect and influence key stakeholders at all organisational levels. Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and as part of a team, to achieve milestones. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Advance skills in MS Office, in particular Excel Strong data management and manipulation skills. Proficiency with database and reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau and PowerBI will be highly regarded.
