Raging Water Sydney - Water Quality Team Member Location: Raging Waters Sydney, 427 Reservoir Road, Prospect NSW 2148, Australia Posted on: 17 days ago About the role: The Water Quality Team Member must provide a high standard of expertise in all aspects of pool maintenance and water chemistry balancing. You will deliver professional water quality management to ensure a safe swimming environment. Roles & Responsibilities: Have a solid understanding of pool chemical parameters or standards and how to maintain these ensuring a safe swimming environment. Understand and be able to operate all automated chemical metering and chemical dosing equipment to an operator’s level. Required to make and maintain adjustments. Experience with daily maintenance of filtration systems, lint strainers, chemical delivery & dosage pumps. Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standard. Complete all work orders to maintain correct record keeping processes. Ensure all work orders are completed within scheduled timeframes in order to guarantee a consistent standard of workload output. Health and Safety – Perform all tasks in a manner that is safe for the individual concerned, externals and other staff members. Comply with RWS and business specific WHS policies and procedures. Report hazards, near misses, injuries and incidents. Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment. Cooperate with Management and other team members to ensure the workplace is safe. Attend WHS training as directed and comply with WHS Policies and Procedures. Adhere to the Employee Handbook content and requirements. Scooping and/or vacuuming of pools. Cleaning filters and chlorinators. Hourly Testing and balancing of pool chemicals. Adjusting chlorinator, pump and controller settings. Maintenance of pool cleaners. Equipment repairs and some plumbing. Perform scheduled maintenance procedures on pool equipment. Requirements: Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner. Problem solving skills. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to address staff/guest concerns. Willing to work in a high performance team environment. Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Customer service skills. Fluent in English. Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates. Take initiative and execute plans to accomplish strategic objectives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work. Physical requirements include but are not limited to - walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, squatting, sitting, standing, twisting and repetitious movement. Review, check accuracy and sign off on staff timesheets. Experience: A current NSW Swimming Pool Operators certification or NSPF certified pool operator. Or similar (desirable). A Forklift licence (desirable). Commercial pool experience (desirable). Manual drivers licence (desirable).
