Be a Leader : Act as our Incident Controller, coordinating swift and effective responses during emergencies and driving continuous improvement in crisis management. Collaborate and Empower : Work with teams across the business to conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIA), review Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and assess the effectiveness of controls through a robust assurance program. What you'll do: Provide SME support, training and exercising requirements within the three elements of Hunter Water's Business Resilience Framework (incident management, business continuity and organisational security). Provide intelligence, reporting and analysis to support recommendations and the decision-making process to drive enhancements to Hunter Water's Business Resilience Framework. Identify process and performance improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to improve Hunter Water's organisational resilience performance. Facilitate and lead various risk-based training programs including those designed for Business Continuity Coordinators to enhance preparedness and response capabilities. Drive improvements in risk identification and management at all levels within the business (e.g., six-monthly risk profiling with each business unit). Manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholder requirements to deliver optimal outcomes for Hunter Water. Support continuous improvement outcomes through effective governance practices within Hunter Water's Business Resilience Framework. What you'll need to be successful: Essential Criteria: Extensive work experience with business continuity, risk management, or a related field. Proven experience in leading and managing business continuity and crisis management initiatives. Extensive experience in the implementation and application of business continuity/preparedness programs, including developing, testing, and maintaining business continuity plans. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels. Knowledge of NSW Emergency Management Arrangements. Effective relationship management and decision-making skills with multiple stakeholders (internal and external). Relevant MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Able to work independently and as part of a small team. Continuous improvement mindset. Prepared to work/respond after hours as needs arise. Desirable Criteria: Certified training in risk management, business continuity and/or operational resilience. Knowledge of ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management) and/or ISO 31000 (Risk Management) standards.
