Save job You will be joining a Big 4 Bank as a Senior Operational Risk Manager within the Institutional Bank with a focus on both local and regional risk management in an established and dynamic team in Sydney initially on a 12 month contract. About the Role Responsibilities include: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent risk management practices. Provide insights and guidance on operational risks during business risk and governance meetings. Monitor risk profiles and events, ensuring timely escalation and response to issues. Review and challenge risk and control activities, ensuring compliance with frameworks. Drive data-driven reporting to improve risk insights and reduce manual effort. Lead deep-dive reviews, providing actionable insights to enhance risk maturity. Champion the management of operational and technology risks across the organization. About You You have: Tertiary qualification in a related field. Deep understanding of market operations, products, and customers. Proven experience in operational risk, audit, or assurance roles. Strong analytical skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
