Relocation package The Role In this pivotal role, you’ll be accountable for successfully managing all aspects of manufacturing, property, plant & equipment, warehousing & logistics, food safety compliance, and work health & safety. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll lead a highly committed operations team to deliver operational excellence through driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing plant upgrades, optimizing operational performance and safety protocols, while building an uncompromising culture of quality based on manufacturing best practices. Key Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing operational strategies to successfully scale operations and manufacturing capability for future growth. Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize process flows, maximize operational efficiencies, and elevate product quality & food safety. Developing and analyzing KPI’s to accurately and effectively manage manufacturing operations to achieve company objectives. Driving a safety-first culture by encouraging safety excellence and promoting risk awareness. Ensuring comprehensive WH&S processes are in place and maintained including induction, training, and safety programs. Managing and supporting Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Production, Planning, HR, and Logistics functions. Championing an entrepreneurial company culture centered on innovation, adaptability, and empowerment. What You’ll Bring Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Manufacturing, or related discipline. Strong knowledge of Food GMP and Food Safety Standards. Extensive experience in a management role within a food processing environment, preferably within the baking and/or FMCG industry. Expertise: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive results. Strong understanding of production BOMs, costings, and use of ERP systems. Experience working in industrial-scale manufacturing environments and possess a strong technical understanding of process flow and food manufacturing equipment. Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple parties to successfully complete maintenance and CAPEX projects. Analytical Skills: Proficient in Excel, with the ability to interpret and manage data accurately. Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Interpersonal Skills: Diplomatic and collaborative, with excellent communication skills. Ownership: A dependable team player who takes accountability and drives results.
