ABOUT THE ROLE The Primary Purpose of the Operations Manager is to act as the principal operational supervisor for day to day activities on site. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES In conjunction with the Queensland Manager, plan for and implement work flow in order to ensure maintenance and housekeeping requirements are met. Coordinate and supervise yard and warehouse personnel in conjunction with relevant site leads. Maintain compliance records, reports and information in connection with supervisory responsibilities. Observe, direct and correct operating behaviour of employees under supervision to ensure safe work practices. Conduct toolbox talks as required in order to communicate key operational issues associated with the shift. Observe Qube policies and procedures as they apply to the tasks assigned. Operate in a safe manner at all times, ensuring that any safety breaches or incidents are reported immediately to the Site Manager or SSH&E Manager. Continue to monitor operation and review ways to continually improve operation whether it be for efficiencies or safety and environmental aspects. Conduct daily sign offs for labour for respective sites. Conduct payroll checks for employees or direct reports. Maintain end of month billing templates and review end of month labour report ready for submission to account manager for invoicing. Monitor and drive monthly KPI targets. Conduct engagements with staff ensuring a high level of performance and service quality is delivered. Monitor employee behaviour and manage if required through formal HR process. Complete relevant variation letters or new starter LOA to assist Administration Officer with onboarding. Conduct interviews and select relevant key people to join the team when required. Ensure correct contractor management is upheld when on site performing tasks. Ensure formal MoC are complete when changes are made to sign in conjunction with SHS to ensure risks are appropriately assessed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Holding or working towards a Cert IV in Frontline Management or equivalent. Extensive experience in managing an industrial workforce. KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills. Ability to implement and deliver policies and procedures. Understanding of labour management, performance management and employee development. Good knowledge of competency based training and assessment. Experience in managing safety in the workplace, including the operations of Quality Safety and Environmental Management Systems. Ability to work under pressure. Why QUBE?
