Operations & Performance Engineer - Solar The Company: My client empowers businesses and property owners to integrate distributed renewable energy solutions. The Role: As an Operations & Performance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of various electrical assets, with a focus on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Photovoltaic (PV) systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include conducting desktop analyses of site performance, coordinating maintenance activities, managing procurement, and facilitating warranty replacements. Your expertise in remote troubleshooting and reporting will be essential in maintaining operational efficiency and transparency. Key responsibilities include: Analyse Performance: Review performance metrics and track alarms and faults across all sites. Ensure timely response and resolution to maintain operational efficiency. Manage Annual Maintenance Visits: Generate and manage site visit tickets for scheduled maintenance. Prepare and distribute maintenance reports summarizing activities and outcomes. Onboarding of New Sites: Facilitate the integration of new sites into the Performance Dashboard and ensure seamless transition of data and monitoring processes. Address site callouts promptly, including warranty replacements, to minimize downtime and disruptions. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of fault history and document all communication, observations, and decisions throughout the resolution process. Document replacement order details for future reference and inventory management. Your Skills & Experience: 3+ years in PV Engineering Solutions role Hands-on experience maintaining C&I PV systems and BESS infrastructure, demonstrating familiarity with diverse electrical assets. Proficient in remotely diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, enabling efficient problem resolution and minimizing site visits. Strong skills in reporting and documentation, ensuring accurate recording of maintenance activities and clear communication with stakeholders. Ability to conduct thorough desktop analyses, identify areas for improvement, and communicate findings effectively to manufacturers and stakeholders. Experience coordinating maintenance activities and managing procurement to ensure timely availability of hardware and spare parts. Skilled in preparing detailed performance and maintenance reports, providing valuable insights for decision-making and future planning. Proficient in tracking and processing warranty replacements, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maximizing asset lifespan.
