Operations Supervisor - Resource Management Centre Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations at a Resource Management Centre (RMC). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, ensuring the efficient operation of the facility, and maintaining a safe environment for both the public and staff. You will manage site traffic movements, assist customers with waste separation, and promote high levels of waste diversion from landfill. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting or advancing their career in operations management. You will play a key role in the training and development of staff, managing payroll, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the effective operation of the RMC, providing direction, on-the-job training, and guidance to ensure safe work practices and meet facility needs. Implement and maintain risk management processes to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Supervise employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations. Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe operational state. Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure regular collection of recyclable materials. Oversee facility repairs and maintenance as needed. Manage work rosters, time sheet submissions, and payroll processes. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Educate customers on proper disposal procedures to minimise waste contamination. Profile Work Experience: Proven experience in a similar supervisory or operations role, with an understanding of key job responsibilities.Experience with earth moving equipment (e.g., Front End Loader, Material Handler).Experience in training and mentoring staff, particularly in the use of earth moving equipment.Experience driving HR or MC vehicles is preferred.Route scheduling experience is a plus. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional organisational skills.Proficient in IT and relevant systems.Ability to understand and meet client's needs.Strong influencing and negotiating skills. Frontline Management or Administration Training (preferred but not essential). Job Offer Salary: AU$90,000 to AU$100,000 per annumBonus: 7.5% annual bonus based on performance #J-18808-Ljbffr
