Operations or Compliance Assistant DirectorsFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details : The Operations & Compliance business units within the ACT Revenue Office are seeking Assistant Directors. To be a strong contender for this critical and challenging role, you will have had experience in project development and implementation, be forward-thinking, self-motivated, resilient, and adept at critically analyzing complex issues and problem-solving using data and information. An ability to read, understand, and apply legislation is essential. As an Assistant Director in Operations or Compliance, you will be part of a highly productive, agile, resilient, and cohesive team. You will report directly to the Director and Senior Director and are required to lead, direct, support, and supervise team members in a dynamic customer service environment. Successful applicants must demonstrate their ability to read, understand, and apply legislation and undertake work to a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. This will be used to manage and resolve complex queries from customers and stakeholders, respond to complex tax-sensitive correspondence and inquiries with limited supervision, and ensure compliance with the ACT’s tax laws, including through taxpayer engagement and education as well as investigations and enforcement. You will provide support in a business-as-usual capacity, in management, as well as contribute to the supervision and development of staff.
