Job Description Quick overview of the role Working as part of the team in our Thornton branch, you will operate all machinery, produce goods, prepare and build loads, and ensure that all loads are quality inspected and tagged while committing to your safety and that of the team. You will receive thorough training and support to learn all aspects of the Operator role, and any future career development opportunities within the business. This position is for the day shift. Key Responsibilities Safe unloading of goods and materials & ensuring accuracy of receipt documentation. Operate machinery, plant, and equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with company procedures. Produce manufactured goods in accordance with specifications. Pick and pack sales orders in accordance with order requirements, company procedures and nominated work plan. Conduct pre-start checks on plant, equipment, and machinery before use. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times. Communicate with other staff in an effective manner to ensure a productive, cost effective & safe worksite. Safe loading of vehicles within Safe Loading Guidelines and Chain of Responsibility legislation. Complete relevant documentation correctly & accurately. Physically fit and able to operate machinery. A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new things. Overhead Gantry Crane experience. Driver’s license.
