Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking Theatre Orderly’s to join our Perioperative team. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieving high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this faced paced and varied environment. About us Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit. We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge. As a Theatre Orderly your responsibilities will include: Delivering excellent service and care to patients Maintain and clean theatre equipment Assist in patient transportation to and from the Theatre complex Liaise within a multi-disciplinary team Ensuring patient and staff safety Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices Process organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard Prior experience in a hospital environment Prior experience as a Theatre Assistant, Wardsman, Orderly or similar (highly desirable) Valid authority to Work in Australia Flexibility to work a range of shifts across the breadth of theatre hours Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for Employment Commitment to Quality Patient Care Sound decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Works well independently and within a diverse team environment Applications close: 21st March 2025 To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
