PART TIME: Supply Chain and Logistics Officer - Technology This role is for 23 hours per week with the possibility of future expansion. The salary range listed is the full-time equivalent. GreaseBoss, a three-time winner of the Advanced Technology award at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards, is seeking a Procurement, Inventory & Logistics Officer to help streamline supply chain operations for our technology products, assembled right here in Queensland. This role can be completed during school hours or through other flexible working arrangements, as long as key responsibilities are met at the agreed times. About the Role As a Procurement, Inventory & Logistics Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring products are shipped to our customers on time. You will keep our supply chain running smoothly, ensuring that products and components arrive on time, at the right cost, and with the right quality. You’ll work closely with our Engineering, Production, and Operations teams, managing procurement, international shipping, inventory control, and supplier coordination. This is a hands-on, team-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, staying organised, and building strong supplier relationships. Whether it’s navigating customs requirements, optimising inventory levels, or ensuring smooth delivery of parts and products, your work will help keep our operations efficient and effective. Duties: Work collaboratively with teams across the business to plan and coordinate procurement needs, ensuring materials and components are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. Partner with suppliers and freight providers to manage international shipping and logistics, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with import/export regulations. Monitor and maintain inventory levels using an inventory management system, working closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure stock is available when needed without excessive overstocking. Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers, ensuring smooth logistics operations and helping resolve any shipment challenges. Build strong supplier relationships, working together to track orders, negotiate terms, and address any delivery or quality concerns. Support the implementation of inventory tracking systems, collaborating with internal teams to improve stock accuracy and efficiency. Assist with supplier evaluation and selection, working alongside the business to maintain a reliable and high-quality supply chain. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing ideas to enhance procurement, logistics, and inventory processes in collaboration with colleagues. Responsibilities: Ensure procurement processes are efficient and cost-effective, securing the right materials at the right price and quality. Manage all aspects of logistics, including international and domestic shipping, import/export documentation, and customs compliance. Maintain accurate inventory records, working with internal teams to optimise stock levels and reduce waste. Liaise with freight providers, ensuring shipments are tracked and delivered as planned. Work closely with production teams to ensure materials arrive on time and align with business needs. Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas where procurement and logistics can be streamlined. Keep supplier and logistics documentation organised and up to date, ensuring compliance and easy reference. Collaborate across the business, making procurement and logistics processes clear, simple, and effective for all stakeholders. Key Performance Metrics: On-time delivery of materials and components, minimising production delays. Inventory levels are well managed, reducing excess stock while ensuring availability. Cost-effective procurement, ensuring value for money while maintaining supplier quality. Efficient international shipping, ensuring minimal delays and smooth customs clearance. Strong supplier relationships, leading to reliable delivery and improved terms. Reduced freight costs through smarter logistics planning. Continuous improvement in procurement, logistics, and inventory processes. Desired Skills: Experience in procurement, inventory control, and international shipping. Relevant knowledge of import/export regulations, customs processes, and freight management. Competent in Microsoft Suite. A practical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to juggle priorities and adapt to changing demands. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with suppliers and logistics partners. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Experience with inventory management systems or a willingness to learn. Confidence working independently, while also being a great collaborator across teams. A flexible and proactive approach, with a focus on getting things done efficiently.
